[edit] Tributes

I can't see as tributes to Krafwerk, Can, etc... can be considered inadvertent: just consider many Trans Am song titles: Cologne, C-Sick, etc... so I removed the adjective.

Carlo.

  • Re: Tributes - I don't quite follow your syntax, but I think I agree with you. Trans Am have never been shy about their influences. Chris77xyz 18:40, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AMG

This article seems to be nearly identical to the All Music Guide entry.

  • Re: AMG - I noticed that instantly when I first visited this article, & did my best to undo it. I think the person who added the AMG info just wanted to quickly provide an overview of the band's history, without realizing plagiarism was being committed; I've seen this happen a lot on Wikipedia. Then again, AMG bios have always been provided as stock information packets at amazon.com, iTunes, insound.com, etc., so it's a pretty common/accepted practice. AMG is usually trustworthy, but its bio on Trans Am is laughably inaccurate (e.g., the vastly different "post-rock" bands it lumps together), so it was a no-brainer for me to cull it down. I may post one of the live photos I took of the band in '99 sometime, if only to illustrate that they are indeed a "rock" band, not a synthpop conflagration. Chris77xyz 18:40, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
