Short Trips: Transmissions is a Big Finish original anthology edited by Richard Salter and based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. The theme of the collection concerns messages and transmissions, the media in which they're delivered and how they are interpreted. Like all Doctor Who spin-off media, the way the plot fits in to the ongoing story of television series is open to interpretation. See Whoniverse#Inclusion and canonicity
