Towerview Primary School

Towerview Primary School is a primary school in Bangor, Co Down.
Towerview Primary opened in 1973 in the East of the town of Bangor. It is so called, as it is possible (on a clear day) to view Scrabo Tower in the neighbouring town of Newtownards from the area.
It is situated on the edge of a green belt and looks on to open countryside and farm land.
The majority of pupils live in the Towerview area of Bangor but some come from further afield. There is a total of 17 classrooms to accommodate the children from Primary One to Primary Seven. The school has a current teaching staff of 15 teachers, including the Nursery Unit teacher and 1 part-time Reading Support teacher.
The Principal is Mr TH McCowan and the chairman of the Board of Governors, Mr RW English. The school's local education authority is the South Eastern Education and Library Board (SEELB)
Former pupils include Alan Kernaghan who went on to play football for the Republic of Ireland.
