I suspected that the Neville site edit was somebody's research work. (The "break" marks for paragraphs are a giveaway of cut-and-paste.) As I said in my Edit Summary, it was good, interesting stuff ... but he problem is fear of copyright infringement - a real concern on wikipedia.

Nobody has any idea of who you are or whether you have permission to use that work. The difficulty of determining true authorship has led to the rule that with very rare exceptions (articles from the 1911 Britannica, for example) we don't repeat work from other places, except in short quotes that are clearly marked and sourced.

The result, which might seem kind of silly to you, is that you'll have to rewrite the article, inserting sources to back up some of the more specific statements and wikifying links. Check some other archaeology articles to get a sense of what's good (although you'll find that quality varies greatly). - DavidWBrooks (talk) 12:56, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
