The Torque MMO Kit can be used to create massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG). It's technology can be extended and customized by python scripting. The kit allows for the rapid creation of content and can also be used to create single player games.

The kit is freely available for personal evaluation purposes, but any other use requires purchasing a license:

Any use, other than private evaluation, of the source code or included binaries requires a valid Torque Game Engine and ArcaneFX license from GarageGames, Inc.^[1]

A Demo Game is included, it demonstrates a lot of features and is a good starting point for own developments.

The kit is an award winning, production ready and commercially proven MMORPG solution. It uses the Torque Game Engine 1.3.5 and the same technology as Minions of Mirth, a MMORPG with over 60,000 registered players and more than two years of production experience.

Although there are some tools and an integrated development environment (IDE) included, an intermediate knowledge of python, networking and reasonably good debugging skills are needed to fully make use of the kit's features. There is a forum where the community lively discusses the kit's issues.^[2] The kit is under active development within a non profit project.^[3]
