[edit] Origin of name

Does the name "Tortoise" come from the Echo & the Bunnymen song "Seven Seas?" I ask because the line "the taut and tame"--which happens to be a Tortoise track--appears in that song. --76.168.8.59 09:07, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

I think this article should be expanded. All claims of importance aside, the article has been decreasing in quality over the years. -tbone (talk) 21:42, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
