Tonya Engst (born September 29, 1967) is a technology writer and editor who resides in Ithaca, New York, United States, where she grew up and went to college at Cornell University.

Engst is editor-in-chief of the Take Control book series and TidBITS, one of the oldest Internet-based email newsletters. She has written and edited many technical books, along with various magazine articles for MacWEEK.
