Tony Dean Smith

Tony Dean Smith (b. October 12, 1977 Johannesburg, South Africa} is a screenwriter, director and editor for film and television.

Represented by Barbara J. Bird, The Characters Talent Agency- Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles.

Tony Dean Smith was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1977, during the era of apartheid and at a time of nuclear proliferation. He currently lives in Vancouver, Canada.

An award winning graduate of the Vancouver Film School, he was selected to be one of five directors for the Director's Guild of Canada 'KickStart' 2003 program, resulting in awards and accolades for his film, Reflection.

Tony has directed numerous episodes for the television series Robson Arms, written and directed the Whistler Webisodes and co-directed the comedy Summerhood (written and directed by Jacob Medjuck)

As a picture editor for film, tv and music videos, Tony's editing has received awards, nominations and numerous festival entries.
