I am new to all this and dont know what I am doing. BUT there is error in this article. it says: In May 1991, Windsor was first elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the independent Member for Tamworth. Controversially he was thrown out of the National Party on a charge of "Driving while under the influence of Alcohol" after previously winning their nomination for this seat. It is said that Windsor has held a constant grudge towards the National Party because of this ever since.

1. Windsor sought National Party pre-selection for the seat of Tamworth for the 1991 election. He was unsuccessful. The National Party endorsed Mr David Briggs as the its' candidate in the election.Windsor then resigned from the party and stood as an Independent in the May 1991 election. Windsor won that election, defeating the endorsed National Party candidate Briggs.

2. There was a drink driving charge but there is no evidence that that played a role in Windsor's failure to get endorsement.

3. Whilst it has been claimed that Windsor has held a grudge towards the National Party ever since he failed to get Party endorsement for Tamworth, there have also been claims that he has held a grudge against Mr John Anderson, the National Party MP for Gwydir(1989- )as a result of Anderson obtaining endorsement from the Party as its' candidate for the 1989 Gwydir by-election.Windsor had also sought National Party endorsement for that by-election.

Just thought I would bring this to your attention.
