User talk:Tom Duff

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi Tom,

Did you do the six edits of user:63.202.70.117, between 8 September 2004 and 18 September 2005 (see user contributions of that anonymous user)? --Francis Schonken 12:57, 27 September 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, those were me. Apparently I wasn't logged in. Tom Duff Oct 1

Small advise (do with it what you like): sign contributions on talk pages with ~~~~, and not with typing "Tom Duff Oct 1" or anything in that sense. If then, you also use the "Show preview" button, you don't get confused over being logged in or not.
Hey, you're a computer programmer, having his own article Tom Duff - I don't have to explain you how software works, I suppose. --Francis Schonken 11:28, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Jonathan Segal

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Jonathan Segal, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Jonathan Segal. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. ---J.S (T/C) 06:33, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Response to "200,000 Songs?"

You said: Despite the attestation of the source, it is simply not credible that they've played on 200,000 recordings. Over the 30 years of their collaboration, that would be more than 18 songs per day, every day of every year. No chance.

Actually, the way that reggae music works is by riddims (rhythms), which means that more than one song can be on the same riddim. So basically Tom Duff, you can take each riddim that Sly & Robbie made and mulitply it by an average of about 10 songs per riddim. Blackjays Blackjays 01:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
