[edit] Biography

The band formed in 2006 in North Hertfordshire under the original name Fusion of Absence. It comprised of drummer Paul Simmons, bassist Ben Hawkes, guitarist Stephen Feltham and two schoolfriends - lead vocalist Simeon Scheuber and keyboardist Tom Ayres. Both Scheuber and Ayres left the band in early 2007, causing a short period of inactivity, in which time the band recruited new lead vocalist and lead guitarist Luke Cotton. The band then adopted their current name Harmony in Violence.

[edit] Live

Although the band have only risen to success fairly recently, they have performed at many local live venues, including Hitchin's Club 85. The band had a lineup of gigs at venues including The Green Room, Welwyn Garden City and The Pier, Clacton-on-Sea, however due to the departure of Hawkes and Feltham in February 2008 these concerts were cancelled, leaving many loyal fans disappointed.

[edit] Inactivity

Since the departure of Hawkes and Feltham in late February 2008, the remaining band members have declared themselves "on an indefinite hiatus".[1] It is unknown when the band will return to an active state.
