Tommy McConville

Tommy McConville (born 1947 in Dundalk) is an Irish former professional football player.
In 1964 he made his debut for Dundalk F.C. and a year later, McConville moved to Bangor but soon returned to Oriel Park for the second time.
After playing for Waterford United for one season in 1972/73 where he won the League Championship, he made his Shamrock Rovers debut at Oriel Park on the 16th of December 1973. During his time at Glenmalure Park he earned one Inter-League cap.
He then signed back for Dundalk during the summer of 1975. 3 league titles and 3 FAI Cups were won by the Border club in the next six seasons as Dundalk dominated the League of Ireland scene.
McConville earned his first international cap for the Republic of Ireland national football team on 10th October 1971 in a 6-0 defeat to Austria.
In total, he played six times for the Republic of Ireland.
Managed Finn Harps in the 1986/87 season.
He is still involved with Dundalk in a coaching and managerial capacity.
