Tommy Harris (rugby)

Thomas Percival (Tommy) Harris (1927 - September 27, 2006), nicknamed "Bomber", was a Welsh sports personality.
Harris was born at Crumlin in Monmouthshire, and played rugby union until 1949 when he turned professional and joined Hull RLFC as a rugby league player. He played over 400 games for the club, in the position of hooker, up to his retirement in 1962, when he became a coach.
He played international matches for Wales and Great Britain, and at the 1960 Rugby League Challenge Cup Final he was awarded the Lance Todd Trophy, despite being on the losing team.
Harris was a director of York Rugby League Football Club from 1966 until 1987.
