Tomer Hemed (Hebrew: תומר חמד; born May 2, 1987) is an Israeli footballer currently playing his trade at Maccabi Haifa.
[edit] Playing career
With Maccabi Haifa already clinching first place in Israel's Ligat ha'Al (Premier League), Tomer Hemed was called up to the first team and made his debut in a league match, as a substitute, against Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv on March 25, 2006. Though officially called up to the first team squad and figuring in some matches, Hemed remained a part of the youth team as well. In 2007, he traveled with the Under-21 side to the Torneo de Viareggio in Italy. Haifa bowed out in the group stage, but Hemed did get on the scoresheet once and took part in a two-nil shutout of Italian powerhouse, Fiorentina.
