[edit] Lickboot is gone

With Tony Jay gone the only "cool" voice actor left (to me anyway) in this movie is Anndi McAfee.

BTW I dont like this movie either, Tony Jay did help redeem it though.

Well, not really, and I didn't like Anndi as Robyn either, but I liked them for other roles that they did. Thats what I meant.

[edit] Voice problems

I don't have any problem with Tom & Jerry talking per se, but the casting was uneven...AT BEST!

The best were:

1. Dana Hill (Jerry)
2. Tony Jay (Lickboot)
3. Howard Morris (Squawk, or whatever the puppet was named).

Unfortunately, all 3 have since passed away.

The worst:

1. Richard Kind (Tom, by far the worst, a combination of an extremely wimpy yell {compared to the originals} and a bad New York hybrid accent did him in)
2. David Lander (usually pretty good, but for some reason he didn't sound too thrilled with the role. I don't blame him.)
3. Charlotte Rae (Aunt Figg, very close 2nd to Kind on the "Worst V/O in the entire movie" category, seemed to be aiming for a campiness level she didn't pursue as Mrs. Garrett on the Facts of Life)

[edit] Why so bad?

I just saw this movie, and I thought it was much better than a lot of the smut you see on the big screen today. It actually entertained me, and didn't just WANT to entertain me (I'm talking to you, Disney!). So I say, if you hate this movie, then you should SURELY hate all the stupid kid movies of today.

[edit] Tom Jasper?

Tom's family name is Jasper? In the various other titles, it is unknown that he has a family or family name. --PJ Pete

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Tomandjerrymovie.jpg

Image:Tomandjerrymovie.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
