The Becka unit is also known for assisting various local organizations in various ways to assist their efforts. Heck, the bloke even agreed to show up at my college class a few years ago, assisting me in meeting a class requirement to interview somebody in front of the class. Most of the students interviewed a friend or relative. I had Becka!!!! A fun time was had by all. 68.13.191.153 11:46, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

As of September 2007, Tom Becka can still be heard on KFAB on your AM dial. His current time slot is from 4 PM to 7 PM... the "drive time" period. Becka covers a wide range of topics, from local to national to international. It appears that Becka does his "home work" regarding the various topics he covers. It is impossible to be an expert or even a quasi-expert about every topic arising on Becka's show but at the least, Becka does appear to try informing himself enough so as to converse intelligently with the typical phone-in listener/talker.

As a semi-regular listener of the Tom Becka show, and with years of listening to many AM radio call-in/talk/news radio shows, I feel confident in proclaiming that Becka is above average in regards to program content, keeping the discussion flow moving along and being able to handle those who try to lead him away from the topic at hand.

One complaint, however. Trying to get Becka to inform me via e-mail as to where to find the best fish & chips in the Omaha Nebraska area was akin to pulling the proverbial teeth from a pterodactyl's mouth...pert' near nigh-on impossible. Numerous requests were required before Becka burped back, informing me of a place that supposedly serves yummy fish & chips. I still haven't visited the joint. Maybe I can talk Becka into buying my lunch or supper. Nah!!!!!! I listen to the gent enuff on the radio. Obbop 23:25, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
