Tocuyo de la Costa

Tocuyo de la Costa is a town located in Falcón State, Venezuela, near the beaches of Parque Nacional Morrocoy.

With a current population of about 5.000 inhabitants, it is believed that Tocuyo de la Costa was founded by the Mapubare Indians before Christopher Columbus arrived in America[citation needed]. Later on, Spanish colonists established in it.
