To God Be the Glory

To God Be the Glory is a hymnal dated to 1875 composed by William Howard Doane with the lyrics provided by Fanny Crosby. It is a well known hymn around the world^{[citation needed]} and it is used very much in Episcopal, Anglican and Methodist churches.^{[citation needed]} It has the familiar phrase praise the Lord.^[clarify]
