It's funny how Asoka could never take over Tamilakkam and yet, now the Tami Nadu emblem has his symbol of the lions on it. Wiki Raja 04:04, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes indeed its funny. But I reckon we need to look at it as the National Emblem in the context rather than Imperial symbol of the Mauryans. If not for the Lion Capital we will be left with the Britannia or the British East India company for unifying India.ώiki Ѕαи Яоzε ^†αLҝ 08:42, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
