[edit] Biography

I'm pretty boring. I've lived pretty much all over the Midwest. I have a really strange (or cool?) accent; people often mistake me for a Canadian. Not that that's a bad thing.

One of my goals in life is to become interesting enough that I get an article written about me on Wikipedia. Ideally, it won't be the above copy; aside from being autobiography (which is discouraged), it'd be much cooler to have somebody doing research on me.

[edit] My Philosophy

I suppose I could be called a Mergist, though I'm not a member of their society. I don't mind big articles at all (that warning about pages reaching 56K drives me nuts), and in fact prefer them to short articles. I also think certain articles are kind of absurd, but I don't necessarily believe that such things are black and white. For example, I don't think every single Metra station requires its own article. Most of them are the same, admit it. However, some are architecturally notable (which might require a rewrite of the current article to focus more on that side), and some (like Ogilvie Transportation Center) are large enough that I can see the need for the article. Still, I think I would prefer that the lists stay in the Metra article. In this example, anyway.

Also, I like articles that are succinct and use small words. My view on technical jargon is, I consider myself well-read. I have a pretty good vocabulary. If I can't understand what you've written, then somebody who doesn't know English so well, or who doesn't know lots of technical words, is going to be completely at sea.
