Picture of U.S.-Mexico Border at the Pacific Ocean, April 17, 2005, around noon local time. Photo taken with a Canon SD-110 digital camera and cropped/re-scaled with GIMP.

This was taken from San Diego, looking South across the border into Mexico. The area of Tijuana at the border is called Playas de Tijuana (Tijuana Beach).

The edge of the Hippodromo is visible on the far left, and a Mexican lighthouse as well.

The tire-tracks on the beach were left by U.S. Border Patrol jeeps that routinely patrol the U.S. side of the fence (which is technically a California state beach, Border Field State Park, and an estuary for endangered birds).
