[edit] Fire Lord Whasisname?

Hi Tiz,

Buinne, formerly 172.mymileagevaried here. The Avatar copyedits are much appreciated, but this Sozen vs Sozin thing is driving me bonkers. See, it's not so much spelling, but phonetics. "zin" is not a sound present in Chinese or Japanese syllabaries, while zen is. Do you have a source? --Buinne 22:45, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi Buinne. I found the spelling at a few sites, including:

Avatar, the Last Airbender

Everything you ever wanted to know about Avatar: The Last Airbender answered by the creators, Mike & Bryan!

I speak Chinese from time to time--not very well, but I keep learning--and my pinjin book does demonstrate a few examples of in use, including the words nin (you [polite form]), jin (half-a-kilo, to enter, or near), and xin (new or letter). So, I decided to make the corrections. I know that the pronunciation might not be a strong as an in as in the English work bin but more ben. However, given the use by the creators, I bowed in their direction ;-) --TizzyD 20:53, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Thank you! I go now to revert my reversions. :P Sorry, but ever since the main article was used by a Distant Horizon message boarder to rumormonger, I've been a little...er...anal. Mmm, humble pie, tasty.

MDT says please, no humble pie. I'm just glad I found the spelling.

[edit] Azula vs. Zula

Hey, would you care to weigh in on this Zula/Azula debate? I keep hearing that people get "Azula" from message boards, but that's not really a source I'd think valid, considering my recent scuffle. Thoughts?--Buinne 20:19, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

I will take a look at some of my sources. I think that the DVD will answer that question. --TizzyD 16:17, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
