From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tipao (palace report or imperial bulletin) was one of the first gazettes, introduced in China around the third century AD. It carried official announcements and news from all around China. It was intended to be read by the bureaucrats (literati). The publication was not very regular or wide. The publications ceased with the fall of Manchu empire in 1911.
