[edit] Percy Knox Invitational™
This high school track and field event is held annually in March over a 2 day period and attracts around 3,000 athletes from more than 100 high schools throughout the U.S. and abroad.
The city of Santa Clarita, College of the Canyons, and the Percy Knox Foundation has formed a partnership to host this elite group of track and field athelets.
The Percy Knox Invitational™ is one of the fastest growing high school track and field meets west of the Mississippi. Going on its forth year, the Percy Knox Track Invitational™ has already captured the title as the number three track and field meet in California, only second to:Mt. Sac Relays and the Arcadia Invitational.
Nowhere on the west coast will you find the top school’s like: James Logan, Long Beach Poly, and schools from Jamaica, Texas, and New York battling it out to see who is the fastest in the world in high school track and field.
This is the first top notch Track & Field Meet designed solely by track & field coaches who understands the problems associated with large meets:
• Trophies awarded in every heat. • No qualifying marks • Low entry fees • Allowed to trade open spots. • More open and relay events • Top notch Track / Stadium. • Shares part of proceeds with schools to help out their Track & Field programs.
