Tim McAfee is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of JP Turner & Company, LLC,.a privately held, full service broker-dealer based in Atlanta, with approximately 150 independent offices in the United States. Under McAfee's leadership, JP Turner. has become one of the largest and fastest growing independent brokerages in the country.

McAfee's career in the financial services industry spans some twenty odd years, starting in 1984, when he became a registered securities representative. Within his first five years in the industry, McAfee moved through the ranks as a producing broker, manager, Area Vice-President over South Carolina and North Carolina, and Regional Vice-President over South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. During his tenure as Regional Vice-President, McAfee moved to Atlanta where, in addition to overseeing the offices in his region, built his base office, and managed its growth to over 70 registered reps within the first year.

In 1993, McAfee and current J.P. Turner president, Bill Mello, partnered to open an independent office of J.W. Charles Securities. In April of 1997, the two men co-founded J.P. Turner.

J.P. Turner was built with two guiding principles. The first pertained to hiring. McAfee and Mello insisted new-hires must pass the test of "Would we be comfortable inviting this person to our home for a back yard barbecue with our family?" If the answer was no, the person would not be hired, regardless of his/her qualifications and potential.

J.P. Turner's second guiding principle insisted on providing an environment where the brokers could best serve the needs of individual investors, without corporate pressure to push products that were primarily in the best interest of the company.

Mr. McAfee is the father of three sons. He participates in hockey as a player, a coach and a fan. He lives in Snellville, Georgia.
