Timothy L. Schmitz is a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 49th district since 1999. He is currently an Assistant Republican Leader. Schmitz is also an on-call firefighter and emergency medical technician with the Batavia Fire Department, a position he has held since 1984.
