Timothy Arthur Newsome (born May 17, 1958 in Ahoskie, North Carolina) is a former American football fullback in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys from 1980 to 1988.
Newsome played college football at Winston-Salem State University, where he was the leading rusher as well as the all-time leading rusher in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) history. Both records have since been eclipsed by other running backs.
In 1991, Newsome founded Newtec Business Solutions, a firm that specializes in providing technology products and services to the small- to medium-sized business sector in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
