The Times-News is the daily newspaper for Hendersonville, North Carolina, and its surrounding area. It has served Henderson County, Transylvania County and Polk County in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina since 1881.
In December 1985, it became an A.M. paper and added a Sunday edition. With a daily circulation of more than 20,000, the Times-News now averages 44,000 readers.
In May 2007, it relaunched its website (formerly known as HendersonvilleNews.com) as BlueRidgeNow.com.
The Times-News is a part of The New York Times Regional Media Group, which has its corporate headquarters in Tampa, Fla. It also is responsible for local delivery of the New York Times and the Dow Jones, Wall Street Journal.
