Tim Wilson (born January 14, 1954 in New Castle, Delaware, died November 23, 1996) was an American football running back in the National Football League for the Houston Oilers and New Orleans Saints. He played college football at the University of Maryland.

His son, Josh Wilson, also played for Maryland but he was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2nd round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Josh would carry a trading card of his father throughout his life that he had since childhood.
