Tim Sanders is formerly Yahoo!'s Leadership Coach and prior to that as Yahoo!'s Chief Solutions Officer. He joined Yahoo! through the acquisition of Mark Cuban's Broadcast.com in 1999 where he served as an integral part of the company’s business services division. He was born in 1963.
Sanders is known for his speaking abilities and his published works (Love is the Killer App and The Likeability Factor).
His first book Love Is the Killer App (which became a New York Times Bestseller) emphasized success in the business world through...
knowledge - Using knowledge to always enhance yourself. Books rather than magazines offer the greatest and most useful wealth of knowledge.
networking - Be organized with your contact list. Always be ready to be the business matchmaker.
compassion - Show that you care about people. Build people up and they will build you up.
In his second book, The Likeability Factor, he emphasizes the more you are liked, the happier your life will be. He shows how to build your likeability factor by teaching you how to enhance four critical elements of your personality:
- FRIENDLINESS: your ability to communicate liking and openness to others - RELEVENCE: your capacity to connect with other's interests, wants, and needs - EMPATHY: your ability to recognize, acknowledge, and experience other people's feelings - REALNESS: the integrity that stands behind your likeability and guarantees its authenticity
