Tim Mason (Bowls)

Tim Mason (born Sept 16, 1974) is a Canadian lawn bowler from Penetanguishene, Ontario. He is a two time Canadian champion and an international medalist, including an Asia Pacific Championship silver and bronze medal and a North American Championship Gold.

Having only bowled for three years, Tim Mason has burst on to the Bowls scene by bringing national attention to the sport in his home country of Canada. He holds both an Outdoor and Indoor Canadian National Championship titles. His career has been spent mostly in Canada but has already gained success at the international level. He first played for Canada at the 2006 World Cup in Australia and quickly became a member of the Canadian National Team. Previously Tim was a professional hockey player and has used his sports background to make the jump to lawn bowling and excel as one of Canada’s top athletes.

Tim currently resides in West Vancouver, BC and is a member of the West Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club. He was recently nominated for British Columbia's North Shore athlete of the year.
