Tim Lilburn

Tim Lilburn (born in Regina, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian poet and essayist, and the author of six books of poems, including Kill-site, To the River, and Moosewood Sandhills.[1][2][3] He teaches at the University of Victoria.[4] His poem, Kill-Site[5], was awarded the Governor General's Award in 2003.[6]

Lilburn was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. He obtained a B.A. from the University of Regina, a Master's Degree in Philosophy from Gonzaga University, and his PhD from McMaster University.[7] [8]

- 2003: Kill-site, winner of the Governor General’s Award.[10][11]
- 1999: To the River, winner of the Saskatchewan Book Award for Book of the Year.[12][13]
- 1994: Moosewood Sandhills, winner of the Canadian Authors Association Award for Poetry.[14][15]
- 1989: Tourist To Ecstasy, a finalist for the Governor General’s Award.[16][17]
