So if the late 1980s saw "the first development of alternative music", I'd love to know what bands like The Birthday Party and the Go Betweens are meant to be? AOR? I'm changing that line because it's obvious that there were some pretty alternative bands before The Cruel Sea Vince In Milan 15:27, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
