A major edit was done on March by User:Tuccijam. More detail was added. This is good. However, all of the information was without reference. Also, there were no Wikilinks included and existing links were removed, much of it was Point of View, and it violated many of the Wikipedia Policies. I understand the desire to provide more information about Tim Gunn. However this is not a fan site. "Timothy M. Gunn (born July 29, 1953) is a gay American fashion maven..."

Is there anyway Gunn's sexual orientation can be incorporated into this article without making it feel as if his career is predicated on it? The way it's phrased currently feels the same way as if it were "Tim Gunn is a gray haired American fashion maven..." The word "maven" is non-descript and subjective. What exactly Tim Gunn does should be described more specifically. This problem is similar to that of articles that describe someone as a "mogul." It doesn't tell the reader much about the subject. ask123 20:34, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Parson's seems to have hidden Tim Gunn's Bio and listing as faculty member

I clicked on the link provided at the bottom of the article ( Parsons The New School For Design Official Biography) and the page that came up a Parson's web page, but the bio was completely blank. I then tried to find him listed as a faculty member and there was no listing him. I'm guessing that probably due to his celebrity, they have hidden this information.

[edit] Crop or replace image

Someone should further crop or replace the image of Tim Gunn in the infobox. You can clearly see another individual who is posing with him for the picture. A portrait image should not include the fan who approached him and asked to take a picture with him... It's not very professional looking. Anyway, that kinda stuff is for fansites... Let's try to get an image of him alone or FULLY cut out that other person in the pic... Cheers! ask123 (talk) 21:16, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Don't want to seem like I'm barking an order and not doing it myself... I'm just so jammed with editing other articles! I will try, but perhaps someone who is invested in this article can spearhead this move... Any takers? Just a thought... ask123 (talk) 21:34, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Looking at it again the photo should simply be replaced as his eyes are closed, there's like 850 others on Flickr. Banjiboi 22:50, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
