Description

The view looking southward over Timberline Lodge is of Mount Hood's foothills. Mount Jefferson (45 mi, 72 km) and the distant Three Sisters (83 mi, 135 km) are on the horizon. Olallie Butte appears just left of Mount Jefferson but is 10 miles (16 km) closer. Trillium Lake (mid-right, 5 mi, 8 km) is frozen over and snow covered. The rectangular white patches are logging clearcut areas. Timothy Lake is barely visible above and to the right of the right-most clearcut, almost directly above the lodge's greathouse peak.
