[edit] Summary

Oscar ‘Tim’ Hebert President and Chief Executive Officer Atrion Networking Corporation

Tim has always been a visionary. Over the past two decades, Tim has driven himself and his company to become and remain on the cutting edge of IT services industry. However, Tim’s passion is for leadership, empowerment, innovation, and collaboration. His experience and his dedication to not only technology solutions, but to services, to relationships, to people, have propelled him into a role of leadership and authority at the forefront of the information technology industry.

Tim’s talents in devising creative, effective and strategic business solutions has been improving communication and productivity for companies nationally and internationally since 1989, when Tim joined friend and founder, Charlie Nault, to create a client-focused, customized solutions provider in Atrion Networking Corporation.

In each of his functions, Tim is continuously driving advancement as he provides creative insight, technology expertise and a dedicated people-focus. Tim’s experience, energy and inspiration have made him a highly sought after speaker and author of several nationally and locally published articles. His commitment to technology growth and, moreover, to community, has lead him to serve on numerous technical councils and boards including those of Cisco Systems, RSA -The Security Division of EMC, Dell/Silverback, Packeteer and Ironport.

In July of 2006 Tim was appointed the role of President/Chairman of the Board for the Rhode Island technology industries association, Tech Collective (www.tech-collective.org). Focusing on two core functions of Workforce Development and Community Building, Tech Collective’s mission is to unite industry, government and education, as well as to engage and produce a pipeline of skilled workers who are second to none. With Tim’s guidance, and through membership, grant funding, events and workforce training, Tech Collective is driving the innovation and prosperity of Rhode Island’s dynamic technology industries.

Since March of 2007, Tim has been a member of the Rhode Island Economic Policy Council, where he sits with 25 fellow government, business, labor and education leaders. In true cross-interest collaboration, the EPC works to grow all aspects of Rhode Island through identifying and strategically capitalizing upon the state’s vital economic opportunities.

In January of 2008, Tim also became the Chairman for the collaborative IT organization, 1nService (www.1nService.com). A consortium of 30 diversely specialized information technology companies across North America, 1nService allows local and regional companies to leverage talents outside of their traditional certification and/or geographical limitations. Additionally, 1nService affords unique collaborations, best practices sharing and a strong competitive advantage in a small-business approach with big-business reach.

A look inside his vision and leadership, Tim explains with invigoration and conviction, “Atrion is the fusion of business and technology. We are building something different here, something great and lasting. We are building client relationships, not client business. And we are providing the Ultimate Client Experience in the process. Instead of sitting across from our clients at a rectangular table with corners and edges – viewing them solely as a business opportunity – Atrion is sitting beside them as trusted friends at a table that is round.”

When Tim is not propelling the success of Atrion, its employees and its clients, he is an avid reader, writer and superhero aficionado. He also enjoys delving into explorations and adventures such as traveling, Scuba diving and motorcycling. Tim lives in Rhode Island with his wife, Kim, and has two children and two grandchildren.
