Tigard High School is a public high school located in Tigard, Oregon. Tigard High School is a part of the Tigard-Tualatin School District. The school motto is "Inspiring a culture of learning and service". Tigard High School have approximately 2000 students and approximately 120 staff as of the 2007-2008 school year. Tigard High School was also newly remolded in 2006. The school mascot is the Tiger and its school colors are green and white.

[edit] Academic Achievements
Tigard High School has offered the International Baccalaureate curriculum since January 1987. Tigard High School also has dual enrollment programs with Portland Community College as well as Portland State University, which can help students complete transferable credits before entering college. Tigard High School also has a PhD instructor in the science department.

Tigard High School is a member of the Pacific Conference. In 2003, Tigard High School's football team won a state championship. In 2008 Tigard High School's dance team, the Tigerettes won a state championship. Tigard High School offers a variety of sports in the Pacific Conference league. Fall sports include football, soccer, cross country, volleyball, and water polo. Winter sports include basketball, swimming,and wrestling. Spring sports include tennis, track and field, baseball, softball,and golf. Non-league sports include lacrosse, snowboarding, skiing, and cheerleading. the football team

Tigard High School offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Tigard High promotes a well rounded student who excels in the 4 A's (Academics, Activities, Athletics, and Arts). The Associated Student Body (ASB) Executive Council consists of 11 elected ASB officer positions: President, Vice President, Activities Coordinator, Secretary, Treasurer, Assemblies Coordinator, Publicity Coordinator, Spirit Coordinator, Human Relations Coordinator, Executive Delegate Council Member, and Technology Coordinator. Along with the ASB officers, each class has 7 elected officers. All 39 elected members serve on Student Council. Student Council consists of every 2nd block class representative and all club officers.

Tigard High School is one of few schools in Oregon that offers an Orchestra program. The Orchestra program returned to Tigard High School in the 2005-2006 school year. The Band program has won numerous state champsionships. Choir is also offered at Tigard High School. Tigard High School is the only public high school to offer a guitar program in the Northwest.
