Tideway Systems is a software company that offers products for data center optimization, virtualization management, application availability and standards compliance, targeted toward enterprise customers.

In 2007, Tideway's flagship product Foundation v7.0 was released in what was the biggest upgrade ever to the product line. Through its ability to identify patterns, it automatically models and maps an IT infrastructure, connecting the technology layers in a way that is relevant to both the business and IT professionals – from business applications thru virtualized environments to switches and the dependencies that exist in between.

In early 2008, Tideway launched Configipedia, a community website for IT professionals, where information and discussion related to managing complex IT infrastructures can be found. Tideway staff make regular contributions to the site, which is useful and valuable for both customers and non-customers alike.

The community site includes a Blog, a Forum and a central Wiki, which hosts everything from very detailed information about software applications identified by Foundation to a detailed guide to application modeling.

Tideway's customers include JPMorgan Chase, Dresdner Kleinwort, Linklaters, Wachovia, and numerous other Fortune 500 companies who use Foundation to automate and remove risk from their IT infrastructure.
