Tianjin Institute of Physical Education

Tianjin Institute of Physical Education (天津体育学院) is a university in Tianjin, China under the municipal government.
The university was first founded in August 1958. Now it is renamed as Tianjin University of Sports. The school was established to meet the needs of PE teachers mostly in northern part of China. At that time, Tianjin was the capital city of Hebei Provnce. The first president of the university is Mr. Gengtao Li, deputy-governor, general-secretary of the Communist Party and mayor.
