Thunder Point is a fiction novel written by Jack Higgins in 1993. It tells the story a sunken German U-Boat with a treasure that also contains a document proving that Martin Bormann escaped Nazi Germany at the end of the World War Two. However, there is also a document which could cause extreme harm and embarrassment to the British Royal Family: The Windsor Protocol. The novel stars two of Jack Higgins best loved characters - Brigadier Charles Ferguson and Sean Dillon. Ferguson saves Dillon's life before he goes in front of a Serbian firing squad; this begins Dillon's career as Ferguson's right-hand man of the 1990s, rather replacing SAS Officer Tony Villiers and ex-IRA man Martin Brosnan (from the 1970s-80s era novels) as hero.
