"Thunder in the Mountains" was the eighth UK single by the band Toyah, fronted by Toyah Willcox, and was released in 1981.
The single, which was not included on an album at the time, continued the success of previous hits, and reached Number 4 in the UK Singles Charts, and again was backed by an appearance on Top Of The Pops, plus a memorable video directed by Godley & Creme.
Both sides of this single, and the 12" exclusive b-side 'Voodoo Doll', were eventually included on the 1999 reissue of The Changeling (album), and they also feature on the 2005 compilation The Safari Singles Collection Part 2: 1981-1983. The single also became the most collectible Toyah release to date, with several impressive variations available.
