[edit] Mistranslation?

Isn't game's title is in fact a mistranslation since it refers to a family name Thurn und Taxis in which the conjunction should have been left untranslated (like "von")? I thought this was standard English practice, but there seems to be a difference of opinion.

Perhaps it is, perhaps it isn't, but it's the name that Rio Grande Games have chosen. If a reliable, independent source has commented on their choice of translation then it's appropriate for us to note that; but if they haven't then it's a point of view issue and we shouldn't comment on it. Indeed. References to the Family game though surely should remain Thurn_und_Taxis. --Nickpheas (talk) 23:30, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
