[edit] sorting key
[1] Just for info: the German prefix "von" (meaning "of" as in "Lord of Someplace") is not good as begin of sorting key for a category. Pavel Vozenilek 12:37, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] re: Question on Venezuela-sport-bio-stub
I agree you don't want to remove the positional tags. Either of the alternatives you mention seems fine; it's a judgement based on how much use the "double-upmerged" templates would see and the consequent reduction in overt double-stubbing, vs. the effort of making said templates, or notional "overhead" in having them. [edit] Source
I have NEVER seen a football player's page with a source in the opening sentence, saying he's a football player and is on a team. You might as well put the source template on every page there is. So why aren't you?Chris Nelson 21:07, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Euro(pe)-election-stub
I've redirected one to the other, tweaked the second, and created templates for everything in Europe that seems likely to struggle into double figures. Alai 16:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Guy cry
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Guy-cry, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still feel the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! [edit] Portland Pictures
I currently don't have the ability to take any quality pictures, but my girlfriend is a photographer. She's traveling out of state until June 1st, but I'll see if I can get her to take a few skyline shots when she gets back. I'll post the best one to see what everyone thinks. Thanks! [edit] African People Database
Hi! I just wanted you to know that apparently the Africa Database has become inaccessible. See this. Regards, Punkmorten 20:30, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Archiving
Have you thought about archiving some of these discussions? A lot of them are very old. --Martian.knight 23:36, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- You could follow the link I left. It takes you here. If you wanted you could use the Werdnabot - it is pretty good. If you have any questions after reading them, feel free to ask. --Martian.knight 23:40, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- I am pretty sure it will create the page by itself, as there is nothing to suggest otherwise. You will find out anyway with in the week as it archives on a certain day. I only added the archiving functionality recently myself, and have yet to have anything archived. --Martian.knight 23:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think it has archived anything from what I can see. If it had there would be some subpage to your talk page, and as you can see for yourself here, there is no such thing yet. Hope that helps. --Martian.knight 00:33, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Mm, certainly I see what you mean, but notice it wasn't by Werdnabot but rather Shadowbot3. However if you read User:Shadowbot3 it appears it is malfunctioning, so I can't help you atm. Maybe talk to Shadow1 about it to see what can be done. Sorry I can't be of further assistance with this. --Martian.knight 01:25, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

- If you prefer, you can use User:Miszabot instead. «Snowolf How can I help?» 21:03, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] African politicians
Hi Thomas
It's great that you keep maintaining the African material, but I'd really appreciate it if you always add new stub templates to WP:WSS/ST. I just noticed that Togo-politician-stub was missing and so was some of Alai's splits. I've updated the list, so it should be better now. Also, feel free to add new templates to the list at Cat:Politician stubs and the relevant child's category page. Happy editing. Valentinian T / C 22:24, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Don't sweat it, I just find the list confusing enough as it is. I just found something interesting: {{Country-stub}}, which has nothing to do with music. More work for SFD. Valentinian T / C 22:31, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

- Its nice that the African material keeps growing. Thanks for the update. Regarding the templates, I have to admit that I always base new templates on similar ones for Denmark. When it comes to upmerged politician templates, I think {{Nicaragua-politician-stub}} would be a good example. Valentinian T / C 17:05, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:DeeringOaksDeeringAvenue.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:DeeringOaksBrightonAve.JPG. The copy called Image:DeeringOaksBrightonAve.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 00:02, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Equatoguiean people
Yes, I realized I made that mistake and had been in the process of correcting that. Relir 20:40, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kosovo
I can conform that I did not delete Kosovo from the list but User:Avala did, here is my prove [2]. AxG @ âºtalk 08:46, 29 May 2007 (UTC) Before you start accusing me may I perhaps explain my action? Or not? Well I will and what I did is that I saw that Kosovo is included in this template but without justification - it has no symbols. Now my mistake is that I haven`t noticed that they are all connected through "Europe in topic". How do we remove Kosovo from the list of Coats of arms of Europe but without removing it from "Europe in topic"? I have no idea and I ask you to do it. Avala 15:42, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
