Thompson Cigar Company is a major cigar and cigar accessories retailer. Thompson Cigar has the distinction of being the oldest mail order cigar company in the United States[1]. Founded in Key West Florida in 1915, Thompson Cigar has devoted over 90 years to delivering cigar smokers national cigar brands, boutique cigars, humidors, cigar cutters and a wide variety of smoking accessories.
Thompson Cigar also offers their own private label cigars[2] and sells them at a fraction of what a comparable national brand would cost. Recently, Thompson Cigar launched it's auction site at http://auction.thompsoncigar.com as well as an informative cigar blog at http://www.cigarblog101.com.
Thompson Cigar has over 200 trained professionals in their call center, giving the cigar smoker the knowledge and experience to help place any order[1].
Thompson Cigar recently announced the donation of over 300,000 cigars since 2002[1] to American Troops in combat areas of Afghanistan and Iraq, plus Korea, the Horn of Africa and three Navy aircraft carrier battle groups through a local Tampa, Florida effort called Support Our Troops at http://www.ourtroopsonline.com[3].
Thompson Cigar is affiliated with Thompson Group which was listed #73 on the 2004 Catalog Age top 100 list[4] Robert Franzblau is the Owner/President, Steve Cobden is CMO and Gina Bongiovanni is Director of Internet Marketing.
