Thomasschule zu Leipzig (St. Thomas School of Leipzig) is a famous gymnasium based in Leipzig, Germany where students take their abitur (A-levels) in preparation for college or university.

It was found as schola pauperum in 1212. Thomasschule is first mentioned in documents dating to 1254 making it among the oldest schools in Europe. Since 1539 it is owned by the city of Leipzig. All members, called Thomaner, of the boy choir (Thomanerchor) attend the school. They live in a boarding school nearby. In World War II the school building burned out. Today it is restored. 670 students currently attend and there are 70 teachers on the staff.
