Thomas Murphy was selected by Hawthorn with pick 21 in the 2004 Draft. He spent the bulk of his debut year with the Hawks at VFL level, but broke into the side for round 22. In 2006 he added a further 7 games and kicked his first goal.
His brother, Xave, is also looking to be drafted by the hawks in 2009.
Thomas' other brother, Edward, has recently completed a stellar season with the Sandringham Dragons.
