Thomas Meaney

Thomas Meaney (born 11 August 1931) is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician. His father Cornelius Meaney was also a Fianna Fáil TD. When Corneilus retired at the 1965 general election, Thomas succeeded him as a Fianna Fáil TD for the Cork Mid constituency. He was re-elected at every subsequent general election until his retirement from politics at the November 1982 general election. He served as a Minister of State at the Department of Industry, Commerce & Energy from 1980–81.
