Thomas F. Ford

Thomas Francis Ford (February 18, 1873 - December 26, 1958) was a U.S. Representative from California.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Ford attended public and private schools. He served in the United States Postal Service 1896-1903. He studied law at Toledo, Ohio. He engaged in newspaper work in Washington, Idaho, California, and Washington, D.C. from 1913 to 1929. Magazine and literary editor in Los Angeles 1919-1929. Lecturer on international trade at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles in 1920 and 1921. Publicity director of the Los Angeles water and power department 1920-1931. He served as member of the Los Angeles City Council 1931-1933.

Ford was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-third and to the five succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1933-January 3, 1945). He was not a candidate for renomination in 1944. Assumed the management of his rental properties. He died in South Pasadena, California, December 26, 1958. He was interred in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, California.
