Thomas Bates (? - 30 January 1606) was a key conspirator involved with the gunpowder plot. He was an important employee of Robert Catesby. His wife managed to throw herself onto him during his execution and he was able to tell her where 100 pounds was hidden that had been given to him by Christopher Wright (another plotter).[1]
