Another brand associated with Thorn EMI that may be missed in this article is Bendix. This company had made some washing machine, especilly front-loading automatics for the UK and Australian markets especially through the 1970s to the early 1990s. The nameplate on some of these machines had the Thorn EMI logo as part of the Bendix logo and documentation often made references to Thorn EMI for customer support.
